The former Fred Segal Beauty space has a new tenant: Preece & Toff, a full-service salon that combines zen-like attitude with punk rock edge.
Co-owners Matthew Preece, formerly of the Giuseppe Franco Salon, and Kristoff Ball, a Chris McMillan
alum, totally gutted and rebuilt the salon after their takeover. In
place of bright yellow walls and harsh lighting are dark wood, greenery
and rock-inspired artwork - like the Shepard Fairey pieces lining the
color station, bestowed upon the duo by Sex Pistol Steve Jones.
